Going Somewhere?

I am and hope you are too.  My name is Hope and I want you to travel.  I want to be to you what my Dad was to me: Your travel nudge.  Minutes after I was born, at "home", in a small basement apartment on Armitage Av in the Bucktown neighborhood of Chicago, he put the naked 7lb me, on a stack of pillows, against my Mother's protests.  Dismissing her fears he demanded, "Aw, leave her alone, she wants to see the world."  Thanks Daddy, I have been doing just that and it has become a passion for me.  
I want you to go places also.  Places you never knew or cared to know, existed, like the storybook land of Cesky Kromlov a town in the Czech REP, forgotten by the even the Nazi's during WW11. In these places you will meet people who fill you with questions like the friendly Old Man who mistook me for someone familiar on the bus as I was leaving Dublin Ireland.  You will eat things you never heard of like stone crab claws at the Keys Fisheries on Marathon Key FL.  You will learn things like what a Montana Hutterite is, things you never would have come to know or question in any other way. You will be exalted and at time uncomfortable.  
Okay, okay, if that is not the kind of travel you are looking for- "Look lady I was just wanting a weekend fishing trip on the cheap"- still go and before you do, stay and read this blog.  Go with ideas or go figure it out later, if you have none.
Before or after you go, stay and read then share. 
This is a place for you and I to share our travels.  Travel that is CHEAP yet priceless.  Travel that is yours & mine.   
Because life is a trip and you might as well take a little Hope along.
